Western Route Study

Network Rail has published its Western Route Study: Draft for Consultation document, which projects traffic demands over the next 30 years. The final version will be published in Spring 2015, and its findings will be considered by the DfT when funding is arranged for the next control period, CP6 (2019-2024). Overground plans for Barking Riverside goes to public consultation

Transport for London is has launched the first of two public consultations for the proposed London Overground Barkingside extension. TfL wants to extend the Gospel Oak to Barking (GOBLIN) line 2.5 miles to serve the Barking Riverside housing development, which has planning permission to build 10,800 new homes (and described as being the largest in east London).
